Activating and/or switching to eSIM

I am trying to active eSim on my iPhone 11 Pro Max using the steps given on the Lucky Mobile website, but it gives an error that the code is no longer valid.

I tried chatting with Lucky Mobile support and the agent connected me with Bell Customer Support who sent me a mail on generating QR code. Unfortunately for that I need a Bell Mobility account and I cannot use the LuckyMobile number to activate there.

Does anyone know how to activate eSim for the lucky mobile number?

Okay so my account was set up and needed to input the SIM card number so I followed up with the instructions up to added the esim manually. Anytime I put that code in that they give you in the instructions- it says error contact my carrier? So I’m unsure what to do

Hey ZedOhEx2,

If you are setting up eSIM, there is no need of a SIM number. eSIM only requires IMEI 2 and EID to be set up.

Now if you are putting a physical SIM number in the eSIM, or vice-versa, yoou might get this error.

Hello Robby,

I am currently in the exact same situation. Transferred my number to Lucky Mobile but can't get an SMS because the activation is not complete.

Where you able to find a solution or help?

Thanks,

Hey marou,

After port in is completed, it takes 30 mins to activate your number and receive incoming calls and sms.

When applying for an esim card on the app I got a message that I couldn’t switch providers and keep my ph#. I contacted a Lucky agent who said he would assist me. He contacted my carrier and had them close my old account, but I still cant proceed with getting an eSIM card on the Lucky app. The agent told me to get help at the Bell website if the application process didn’t work after my phone account was closed. However neither the Bell or Lucky chat services were able to help with this and now I have no phone service and no way to get an eSIM card for use with this provider.

Hello,

I ported my number from Koodo to Lucky yesterday. Received the 90 minutes message about porting out, replied 'Yes', then my line disconnected with Kodoo and I cannot activate the esim with Luckymobile.

I tried several times, and called the cs, but no luck.

I scan the qr code:

and entered manually: CUST-011-V4-PROD-ATL2.GDSB.NET

I keep getting a message saying: eSIM Cannot Be Added, This code is no longer valid. Contact your carrier for more information.

One tech agent, gave me the website to activate esim; but when I go there it is for completely new customer where you need to choose or transfer a number and choose a plan, then pay; which does not apply to my case: I already ported my number, have active plan, and paid.

I have the EID, IMEI, & IMEI2 info ready.

I use iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Hey Justin,

This just happens when you accidentally delete or your screen turns off while activating the eSIM.

Only thing needed to be done is to refresh the eSIM on Lucky Mobile's system as the EID and IMEI 2 is already present on the account while you activated. Unfortunately, Lucky Mobile Customer service cannot do the eSIM refresh and you will need to go to a Lucky Mobile/Bell or the partner stores like Walmart Wireless, Wirelesswave, T-Booth wireless to get the eSIM activated again.

Excatly the same since yesterday, spent hours on this.

Apparently it seems prepay is not compatible with esim. A joke. Considering to find another mobile company.

did you get an answer? Trying to change for a monthly plan to have an esim. Looks like prepay is not o for esim!

Let me know, thank you

Today I tried to activate my prepaid esim, but the installation of the esim did not work, I tried to add it using the QR code which returns the message "esim is not ready yet". How can I solve that? thank you!

I bought an eSim online. I entered all the data into the phone, but the card does not activate and is constantly in the activation process. Could this be related to the fact that I am not currently in Canada?

Hey there @Constantine ,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.

That's a good question and you're correct, you will only have the ability to complete the process while being physically in Canada.

My friend has transfered from other phone company to Lucky and got involved in a trouble at the last stage. He is trying to activate his eSim using the QR code(https://www.luckymobile.ca/support/phone/setup-esim) and manual typing, but the error messages such as "No longer valid QR code" keep appearing on the screen. His phone is iPhone12 and he cannot receive any messages and have no data. Only thing on the screen is "SOS only."

Does anyone know how to solve this situation? He got some emails that tell customer registry is completed(auto top-up setting is valid, and PDF of registered information.)

thank you for this!!
