Using account credit for payment

I have a $50 credit on my account. How can I use this as payment instead of my monthly top up. The system doesn't recognize that I have a credit and keeps charging my credit card instead of using my credit.

Hey there @phm

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.

In order to use a saved up balance, you will need to change your payment method to account balance in My Account. Please note that if you're currently receiving an auto top-up bonus, if you change your payment method, the bonus will be removed.

Hey Glen,

Unfortunately, if you leave the current balance is not refundable. So just cancel auto-top up and use current balance first. So even if you leave, there is no amount left for you to be worried about.

I was referred by a friend and then I referred someone.  I have $30 credited to my account right now but I don't know how to apply this amount towards my monthly payment.  I searched this community board and the how to...  Thank you for your help.

I cannot see that Option to use my Account Balance in My Account.  I only see an option to cancel Automatic Top UP.

Is that where I can find that Option?  Will I lose my extra 250 MB Data Bonus if I don't have Auto Top UP even though I have $50 of Rewards?  Thanks.

Good morning @jm3nd.

Yes, that would be correct; any auto top-up bonus would fall off automatically once the auto top-up is removed.

It's recommended you leave the top-up as is, and hold onto the additional funds to add service passes if needed in the future.

Hello again,

I have 2 250 MB Rewards One is for Automatic Top Ups which is now clear to me.  The second is for making 6 Payments which I have done more than 6, will I lose that Bonus also if I start Paying with my Rewards?

It didn't say that I should pay with Auto Top UP, I think.  It referred to making 6 On Time Payments.  Why should I lose that when the The Rewards are just like Advance Payments, I have $ 50 on it now and it will grow by $ 15 in the next few months.  Just asking so I know what to expect.  Thank you.

Thank you for your reply @jm3nd.

You'll be able to find clarification on our page for available plansOpens in a new tab or window under "Additional information" at the bottom. For ease of access, we've quoted and bolded the relevant portion for you below.

Automatic Top-Up is a preauthorized Top-Up program that charges your credit card, Visa Debit or bank account to Top-Up your account right before your Monthly Charge Date each month. Bonus Offers cannot be combined. The Bonus Offers are one-time offers and are only available with eligible plans. The Credit Offer will be applied to your account balance after each successful Automatic Top-Up and Total Monthly Charge payment for each continuous month after registration, so long as your account is in good standing and continues to meet the Bonus Credit requirements. The Bonus Data offer is only available within your applicable Plan and will be applied after each successful Automatic Top-Up and Total Monthly Charge payment, so long as your account is in good standing and continues to meet the Bonus Data requirements. The Bonus Data Offer will be applied within 48 hours of a successful Automatic Top-Up and Total Monthly Charge payment. If the bank account or payment card you provided cannot be charged or if you are no longer registered for Automatic Top-Up, then the Bonus Offer will not be applied and will automatically be removed from your account. Current as of November 16, 2018. Offer available until further notice.

Hey there, I have a current balance of $150 and my plan is $50. Now if i set up auto top up right now, it says every month you will be charged for your plan from the credit card. However, I want to set up now and get the bonus, but I want to use all the current balance first and after that gets over, I want to get charged from the credit card automatically. Is the system smart enough to use my currently balance first and only charge to my card automatically when the current balance is used up? Or I need to manually cancel it and use the current balance first and after that is over, set up the auto top up??

I would like this question answered too.
If I leave do I lose the money that is in my accounts?

So the monthly plan I have is for $15.  I currently have a balance of $15 on the account so when money is due in a few days will it auto charge my debit the $15 because I’m doing auto top up or would it use the balance on my account and charge me the next month? Thanks in advance!

Hey Kaur,

According to Lucky Mobile's updated terms on payment method, account balance should be used first if it is enough to cover the plan.

However, for some reason it is not implemented properly and it does not work sometimes.

Please, if possible, if you are ok with letting the card charge (not removing the auto top-up) for the next billing date, can you let me know if the current balance of $15 was used from the account or it charged the debit card? If it charges the debit card, you can remove the auto top up and the system will automatically use the current balance on the next billing cycle. However, if the system is working properly now, it will automatically recognize that a current balance is available for top up and it will not charge the card for this month.

I would really appreciate your reply on this as it makes me provide better solutions to other users.

Thank you Kaur.

Sure no problem.  I need it to deduct actually, but was asking to make sure it will deduct, if it doesn’t then I’m stuck I need to find another bill for this month as I’m trying to gain a bank credit.

Hey Kaur,

If you want it to be deducted from the debit card, then I think you should not cancel the auto top-up. As there are 50% chance that it will still charge the card, even if you have an account balance.

But, if you remove the auto top-up, it is 100% true that the payment will be done using the current balance of the account.

Thank you for the quick reply. Let us know what happens during the next billing date.
