Sms received by the wrong number

Hello, I'm experiencing some issues with my new line: i can message people and call them and i can be call by them but when they answer my text it goes to another number. Apparently it's not uncommon but any idea how to fix that?

Welcome to the community and thanks for your post. 

In order for the community to best assist, a few more details will be needed;

  • Did you port in your current phone number? If so, did you have a temporary number prior?
  • What is the make and model of your phone?
  • Are all your contacts affected or some text messages are received?
  • Did you try to reset your network settings in your phone?
  • Have you tried to simply restart your phone to have a fresh connection to the network?
  • What other troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
  • Have you got in touch with our technical support team to review your concern?

I recently arrived in canada so this is my first line there. 

My phone is a Samsung galaxy s21

So far the few people that tried to texted me were all affected. One manage to send 2 texts before it started sending to another number. I have restarted my phone several times with no success. And you are the first person to whom i presented my issue.
