Why Can't I Send a Text to Malaysia

I have the "$25 Unlimited Canada Min 500MB" which includes unlimited international texts. I try to text to my sister in Malaysia and get a text not sent error. I tried to text to 01160****, where 011 in the international calling code, 60 is Malaysia's country code and **** represents the area code and phone number.  Why didn't this send?  I can send texts to Canadian numbers OK from my phone.

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post. 

Many times, when failed international text messages occur the common issue is the full dialing/input of the international phone number is incorrect. 

Are you still experiencing the issue or you're able to communicate with your contact in Malaysia?
