Hi all,
I recently activated a plan WITHOUT any international calling added.
I was wondering if this means when I dial or pick up an international number the call will fail? Or if the call will go through and I get an international surcharge appended to my account.
I am worried about this because sometimes I accidentally pick up scam calls that are actually international calls, and I don’t want to get surcharged.
Thanks!

Hi there, @CowboyStovetop. Welcome to the Lucky Mobile Community, and thanks for your post.
Due to the rates of international calling, Lucky Mobile users are unable to make international calls without first having a Service Pass activated as an add-on on top of their plan. You can find out more on what countries are included in which Service Pass on our page on International Calling Add-Ons
Do keep in mind that incoming calls are considered local from your perspective and you would not be charged international rates. With that said, a common rule of thumb is if you do not know the number calling, do not pick up and let it go to voicemail first. 🙂
Let us know if you have any further questions. Best wishes.

Does the term "Unlimited Canada-wide calls" mean that I can RECEIVE international (global) calls without charge with the LuckyMobile monthly plans - as long as I am in Canada? -> No, I won't add an International Add-On, because the European country I need to stay in touch is not on your Add-On lists.
Further I would like to know if LuckyMobile allows using the data for Wi-Fi Hotspot/Tethering, the phone is able to do it.
I tried to ask the LM chat-bot this question now several times, but apparently it knows only 2 sentences - in the sense of: "Sorry I can't understand what you mean. Please write in complete sentences." I expect more from an AI bot that's available 'to help' o.0
Very frustrating.
