Is there any plan in the works that the service will work while a person is in the U.S. ?

Hey @philip347,
Thanks for your post,

Lucky Mobile only offers service in Canada – you can therefore not use our service while in the US or any other country, nor do we offer travel SIMs or eSIMs for usage outside of Canada.

Yes, Lucky Mobile does not have roaming abroad, so we won't be able to make/receive phone calls or text messages while outside of Canada.

Yes, looks like the best option is to get a sim card from a provider that offers US roaming, in which case you would get a normally functioning phone calls and text message (as well as the internet connectivity).

An alternative is to keep LuckyMobile with understanding that there will be no mobile service and no internet. In this case, one could connect to free wi-fi networks at hotels, McDonalds, shopping malls etc and use FB messaging/video calls, Skype, Teams as they only require internet connection.

I want to use my phone in the US.  I see that there are Canada US plans but it looks like this is for calling to the US from Canada but not for use in the US.   Thanks.

Oh, I see. Per Lucky Mobile terms and conditions  "Your Device will not be able to roam internationally with a Lucky Mobile" (https://www.luckymobile.ca/terms). I knew this when I was considering switching to Lucky Mobile.

Are there any future plans to provide "roaming" service passes for customers to call while they are outside of Canada? I'm certain there will be users.

From what I can see, my only option to using my phone in the US is to buy a SIM card and reach my peeps in Canada during my trip via FB messenger

can a person with more tech smarts than I have confirm?

Please help.  How do I temporarily activate my phone for usage in the USA (while I'm travelling)?

Hey Gabriel1,

Lucky Mobile provides Canada Wide services. Thus, US roaming is not available with Lucky Mobile Prepaid.

None. Lucky Mobile cannot provide service in the USA.

You will have to get another simcard (e-sim maybe ?) for a month.

No, you cannot.

Yes, you are right. Buy another local e-sim card online.
