Dollarama $20 deal - bar code not redeemable

I received a nifty bar code and have tried to redeem at two different Dollarama stores, the latest today at Metrotown, Burnaby. I was stuffed both times. The bar code is NOT acceptable as payment for the $20 gift card in Dollarama stores. To make matters very annoying, the customer service people at Dollarama are telling me they have nothing to do with Lucky Mobile at all. 

I believe it is Dollarama's computer system at fault, as the bar code payment option is apparently unavailable after the cards are scanned. (On the handheld scanner exclusively, OMG) In any event if folks are having similar issues they aren't alone, and this dopey issue needs to be fixed before we are a POed army.

You mentioned waiting 24hrs after redeeming to allow the card to fully activate. What do you mean by that?  Do you not ensure they are already activated before issuing to your customers. Or are there steps that the customer needs to do prior to using the gift card to purchase items at dollarama 

A few months ago now, there was an ad in my local Dollarama saying with two top ups of your lucky mobile account, you would receive a $20 Dollarama e-gift card. I completed all steps, received link with a three digit pin, and a barcode. However, when I tried to use this card in store, they were unable to complete the transaction, saying the gift card was not valid and therefore not accepted. I have been trying to receive answers for this, however both lucky mobile and Dollarama keep telling me to reach back out to the other company. Beginning to feel scammed.

Hi,

The $20 Dollarama E-Gift Card I got from Lucky Mobile isn’t working at all. I was embarassed to be at the cashier and excited to redeem my Gift Card but then it says “CVC Invalid”. I ended up just leaving my stuff there.
I contacted Lucky Mobile but 1 agent told me I had to wait 72 hours which I did, but then another agent told me I had to wait 7 Business Days. I don’t know anymore what is real or am I even still getting a VALID Gift Card as promotional offer 😞

My 20 dollar gift card has been giving me trouble. I've gone to 3 different stores now. I even showed them the post on here from Lucky that tells them the procedure, "The cashier at Dollarama will need to choose 'Select Card' instead of 'Gift Card' when completing the transaction." -Patricia.

That didn't work. From what I can see, it's says CVC error. I reached out to Dollarama and they said: "We want to clarify that while the eGift card may be redeemable at Dollarama, the functionality and management of the card are solely handled by Lucky. Dollarama is not involved in the eGift card program, and all terms and conditions are determined by Lucky."

So that's what brings me here. I have the barcode, and the 3 digit pin was texted to me from Lucky, and I followed the FAQ.

That still didn’t work, can y’all just give me the gift card details, like the gift card number
