Hi there, @Keith. Welcome to the Community.
Yes, you can keep your phone number with a new SIM or eSIM by following the steps outlined in Transferring your existing service to a new SIM Card or eSIM
.
If you are not in possession of the device with the old SIM in it - i.e.: lost or stolen device and SIM, you will not be able to receive the 'transfer approval text'. If you cannot receive the approval text, you will not be able to complete the SIM/eSIM transfer via the My Account self-serve process.
In this scenario you MUST visit Lucky Mobile in-store to verify your identity with a valid piece of photo ID to complete the SIM/eSIM transfer. Check out our Support page on Lost or Stolen Phones
for your options when losing your SIM card and/or phone.
Let us know if you have any further questions. 🙂

I recently lost my device that had my lucky Sim card in it. I have a new device and a new lucky Sim card but can't seem to activate the Sim card due to the security code being sent to my phone number- j don't have access to my phone number until my lucky Sim card is activated in my phone... what do I do. I tried getting ahold of lucky and no luck. Any suggestions?

My phone is broken and I want to transfer my phone number to a new device. However, the transfer process requires a verification code that gets sent to my old (broken) phone number, and I can’t access it. How can I transfer my number to my new phone in this situation?

Hello, I was having problem with my SIM card I could not get any text messages and an error showing that my inbox is full. I deleted almost all my texts, though those were saved in my device and not on SIM. So, I decided to buy a new SIM card and replace the old one. I assumed the SIM card may have issues with it. I got one SIM card, inserted it in a phone and started the process via app.
Here comes the fun part: In that process a message popped up, asking me to confirm my identity by putting a code, which was sent to my phone as text. If I could read my text, I wouldn't replace this SIM, right? Why there is no option to chose the code to email or why don't you sent the code as text and also as email?
Fortunately, I had a spare working phone at home and I inserted my SIM to that phone to get the text(CODE). what if I was travelling without any spare phone? What if, my SIM was so damaged that I could not receive any text or call? What if I lost my phone? There are many "what if" situations.
Please consider sending the CODE via email as well as text or include an option where I can chose which option among Text and Email I want my code be sent to. Staying with only one option of sending code may be fatal. I was almost at the brink of change my operator to NO NAME. They are offering much cheaper and better services now a days. The only string that hold my loyalty to Lucky was this number is important and I update my phone numbers in many places. But if you guys do not update the system, I might be compelled to go to another carrier. And that will be on you.
Have a great day. Best regards,
