Change Name associated to Phone Number

Wondering if it's possible to change the name associated to a phone number.

As a test, I created a new account, unlinked my existing phone number from my old account, linked it to the new account and was surprised when my name and credit card information were ported over to the new account.  Is there any way of changing the name associated to a phone number (and not just the display name on the account)?

I activated a line for my son's iPhone (eSIM) under my account. Now, I'd like to transfer that line/number to a Lucky Mobile account that would be assigned to him.

I think the terminology that Lucky Mobile uses for divorcing my account of his number is "unlink". So, I could unlink his number from my account.

However, how would he link that number to an account that belongs to him? As far as I can tell, he can only create an account when he activates a line. But he doesn't need a second line.

How can I make this work?
