Hi, I am traveling internationally for the next 9 months and either:
- want to pause my service and retain my phone number for when I return (without paying $15/mo +tax just to hold my number),
- want to transfer my phone number to a VoIP provider.
The issue I'm having with #2 is that I'm now outside of Canada and cannot receive any call/sms on LuckyMobile, so I cannot receive the port-out confirmation SMS.
What am I supposed to do in this case, is there an Add-On I can purchase to receive SMS while outside Canada?

Hello @OttawaUser001 , thank you for your post.
You can request that your account be suspended for a total of 120 days before the phone number is released to the general public.
If you need more than 120 days, you must make sure to top up your account before the end of the 120 days and keep your line active during the anniversary period before initiating another suspension request.
Since Lucky Mobile is a prepaid service, you will only have access to a Canadian network and will not have any possibility to connect to a roaming network.
