How to turn off voicemail to text notifications

I get a text every time I get a new voicemail, is there is a way to turn that off? I understand it's helpful for some people, but I don't see a need for me to have it. I have an Android phone if that helps in any way.

Yes, you can usually turn off voicemail text notifications, but the method depends on your phone (iPhone/Android) ; check your Phone app settings for Visual Voicemail/Notifications or try texting "STOP" to the text notification.
