3G/HSPA network discontinuation

Just got text telling me that my perfectly functionnal and not particularly old Samsung Galaxy S9 won't work with your new network and it will have to be thrown in the trash in a few months. This is awful. I had no need or desire or plan to "upgrade" to a new phone for no good reason.

With the free phone offer were you able to keep your old Lucky plan or did you have to upgrade to a more expensive one?

Hey Momma2013  - what is the phone? is it an pre-historic flip phone? or is it an android phone?

If it's a flip phone, i will not bother even if it's complementary because it will go straight to landfill.

My phone is only 6-7 years old, and it does support VoLTE - which i have enabled. I'm not sure why I  got the text that I need to upgrade.

Such as a waste of resources.
