If you are seeing SOS where your newtwork should be can you still make calls?

Welcome to the Community and good questions. 

When seeing SOS on your screen, only calls to the emergency services are permitted. SOS is also a good sign that your phone as lost connection to the network and a quick restart (fully power off your phone and back on shortly after) should allow your phone to regain access.

My phone says emergency calls only. What's going on??

My service is SOS only and can’t receive verification text to activate old sim with service to a new device..  How can I activate my new device if can’t receive texts to my #

My sim is out of service, it says emergency only!

What do you mean a quick restart? Just on my iphone? Can you explained some more please 

I recently bought a phone and as soon as i got it I immediately transferred my lucky sim card in in it. Suddenly, it said "SOS" or "No Service" on my phone. I tried putting it back to my old one but still "No Service". Any of you guys know what might be the problem?

  • Phone is in sos mode even after restarting multiple times. 

My phone says not registered, and i've reset the phone and did network reset, and still not working.

 

My service suddenly stopped, I checked my account and I saw I still have subscription on it so why is the service on SOS please help fix it. Thanks 

So I got a new phone and switched my SIM card from my iPhone XR to my iPhone 13, and now won’t work on my new phone. Sais SOS and will not work, anyone know anything to help? Please and thanks in advance. Alrdy contacted lucky and they don’t know and r trying to work on the situation. 

My sim has been bringing sos for days now. I cnt make nor receive calls.

 

*** SPONTANESOULY RESOLVED AFTER A FEW HOURS ***

My account is fully funded, active, and I've been a customer for many years.  Suddenly this morning, I can no longer make phone calls.  I did the suggested troubleshooting steps, restart, SIM swap, etc. but still have no service.  I just have "Emergency calls only".

Is there a phone number I can call for technical support.  Please help, this is my only phone and can't be without service.

It's been only 3 weeks, and I've lost cell service again.  Same scenario as on Feb 7, 2025.  I need to call my doctor ASAP.

Why does this keep happening when my account is active and fully funded?  All "troubleshooting" tips aren't working again.  No telling when, or if, my service will come back again.

Please urgently provide direct assistance for my account.

I haven't had mobile network all day. I don't know what happened
