Return customer - can I use my previous SIM card?

I was fixing my kid's broken screen at a repair kiosk, and I got sold into a plan with another provider (no contract), my lapse of judgment is half because of my horrible migraine at the time, and half because I was getting fed up with 3G. Now that I see that Lucky Mobile is offering 4G, and seeing how untransparent the other provider is with hidden fees, I am looking to come back to Lucky, barely 30 hours after being away.  I am putting the previous SIM card in, but it does not seem to be accepting in. Does anyone know if I can reuse it or do I need to get a new SIM card?

Hey there @CCZ

Welcome to the Community and good question.

That would depend if you transferred the phone number (port) to the other carrier as well. If it is the case, a Port In or Port Back would need to be completed in order to regain possession of your phone number and a new SIM card will be needed as well.

If you did not transfer your phone number to another carrier, the only time a new SIM card would be needed is if the account was unused for four consecutive months.

Am I able to activate a previously used Lucky sim card to a new account and phone number?
