I received a nifty bar code and have tried to redeem at two different Dollarama stores, the latest today at Metrotown, Burnaby. I was stuffed both times. The bar code is NOT acceptable as payment for the $20 gift card in Dollarama stores. To make matters very annoying, the customer service people at Dollarama are telling me they have nothing to do with Lucky Mobile at all.
I believe it is Dollarama's computer system at fault, as the bar code payment option is apparently unavailable after the cards are scanned. (On the handheld scanner exclusively, OMG) In any event if folks are having similar issues they aren't alone, and this dopey issue needs to be fixed before we are a POed army.

Andrew, I'm not a mod, just another user. I'm sorry for what happened. I used the gift card at multiple Dollarama locations in Toronto without any problems.

Received a text message with the link of the Dollarama gift card, went to the store try to redeem but the bar code couldn't be scanned or not accepted. Emailed Dollarama but no help from them just letting me know "All situations with Lucky mobile promotions are under the responsibility of Lucky only. Apart from selling the card, Dollarama is not involved in the functionality/administration of it."
Please help.

Please review the responses and accepted solution on the current thread and if the solution did not work, please clarify what happens or if any error message occurs when you attempt to redeem the offer at Dollarama.

i got the text for the dollarama gift card the balance is showing as $0 on my iphone dollarama app i was talking with an agent on saturday she called me and said i would get a new gift card in my email with 72 hours it's been 5 days and nothing. i was just talking with Renze who sent me a link for dollarama gift card and the balance is $0 they asked if i had entered the pin but there is no option too and said he would call me to connect with the specialist department. i got the phone call from Renze and transferred just to tell me I had called the wrong department and got hung up on now renze isnt answering messages

I also got the text message with a link and a pin, and added it to Dollarama iPhone app, where it says the balance is $0. Tried using it at a Dollarama, the cash machine says it was not activated. The Dollarama app can’t activate it. Talked to Lucky customer service rep, no one has a clue what this is.

You will receive a code in the message, you will need that code to use. I recently used my at a local dollaroma store with no issue, but they do ask for the code, which is in your message received when you got the digital card.

So got my GC for topping up 2 and month. Excited and in need of it, off I go to Dollarama. Pick my just over $20 worth of stuff. Scan the barcode, cashier asks for PIN that was in the text. Enter it, comes up Invalid. Try it 3-4 times manger gives it a go and nothing. Didn't bring any money debit nothing so completely embarrassed away I go with noda! Contact Lucky, send me to Dollar store, I'm told they have nothing to do with it, send me back to Lucky! Now I went from WOW how cool to receive GC loving lucky to WTA#!! I've reached out to Lucky again and can't reach a human had to leave number for call back! Waiting on that now so wish me luck! Anyone else have this issue and got resolved??

Why is there such a problem with the dollarama gift card . Tried 4 times and it keep saying inactive. Have tried everything Lucky suggested and still not working
