Can't add the Dollarama gift card in the Dollarama app

Hey! I recently got my $20 Dollarama gift card from topping up/paying for the Lucky mobile etc, but I can't seem to add gift card in the Dollarama app? I open the link from the text message and it directs me to the Dollarama app to download the app, which I already have.. I can't seem to find any option to add my gift card to my balance to the app..

For the sake of troubleshooting and for any future users who may be experiencing similar issues, could you try copying the text that would normally be a link in the original SMS and pasting it into a browser? It's possible that it may just not be hyperlinked properly, but otherwise is functioning and does have a workaround.

Give that a try, and let us and the rest of the Community know how it goes. 🙂

Hi All, I received a $20 gift card in my phone but it not a bar code or Pin code, it's a message to press a link but there's no link in the text.

I received a message with a $20 gift card on my phone but it does not have a link and a PIN code. I tried to copy the text that should be the link and past into a browser, but it did not work. Can you help please?

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your posts. 

In order to best assist, some clarification will be needed. 

• When you copied the code, did you make sure to copy the entirety of the code as it may look confusing in the sms. As a last resort, have you tried to manually type the code in a web browser?
• When you said you copied it in a web browser, which browser did you use? the one on your mobile phone or desktop computer (please use your mobile web browser)?

Code is really confusing. I tried it again, because I did it wrong last time. I found PIN in the message. So I copied text for the link after word 'click' to a period and inserted it into a browser. I used desktop browsers (Chrome, FireFox and Edge) and mobile browsers (Chrome, FireFox). It did not work. Instead of opening the link, all browsers try to search for it as a text.

I got the text message fir the 20$ gift card , link didn’t work , so I made a dollarama account tried to add it to account , didn’t work, went to dollarama embarrassed at check out as card doesn’t work it says invalid pin , contacted customer service they says someone will issue me a new card and pin watch out fir my text within 5 days , bern 10 still no new text with link, very frustrating I don’t like being lied to.
