Best Buy Gift Card the secret code rejected twice

I received a text message that I have been rewarded the $ 20 gift card that was part of the Best Buy/Lucky Mobile SIM card offer.  I forwarded the message to my email address, clicked on the link to view the Gift Card and entered the "secret code" they were rejected both times.  I tried the code with and without the period, not a chance!  How can I retrieve and use this gift card if I can't access it?  What is the correct procedure?

That's a good question for the Community. 

To be eligible for the Gift Card:

1. Activate your Lucky Mobile SIM card
2. Make an initial payment for your first month
3. Top-Up to cover your second month

Once you have completed these 3 actions, the Gift Card will be sent to you as a barcode link via text, along with a code, within a few days of your second Monthly Charge Date, as long as you have enough funds in your account to cover your Total Monthly Charges.

Can I rephrase the question?  Am I only allowed to click on the link on my cellphone?  I copied the message and sent it to my computer because I find it hard to type things on the small screen.  As I mentioned before, I tried to enter my "Secret Code" twice but was Rejected.  I do not want to try a third time and risk losing my gift card.  What should I do ?  Thank you.

Yes, when receiving an offer via text message, please complete the transaction via your mobile phone by pressing the link directly in the message.
