Activating and/or switching to eSIM

I am trying to active eSim on my iPhone 11 Pro Max using the steps given on the Lucky Mobile website, but it gives an error that the code is no longer valid.

I tried chatting with Lucky Mobile support and the agent connected me with Bell Customer Support who sent me a mail on generating QR code. Unfortunately for that I need a Bell Mobility account and I cannot use the LuckyMobile number to activate there.

Does anyone know how to activate eSim for the lucky mobile number?

do i need to have a text and calling plan in order to convert to esim because i have 500mb data only and i cant convert to esim i dont see it on my account

Same problem and entering a fake EMEI2 did not work!  Why does lucky asked for both EMEI numbers when I only wish to activate EMEI1. I was finally able to enter both numbers but was only given to option to activate EMEI2.

I had a hard time activating my iPhone eSIM and it does not look like your temporary glitch is fixed. I had to enter both my EMEI1 and EMEI2 numbers to get though and wandering why we have to enter both when I just needed to activate EME1. After entering both, it only gave me the option to activate EMEI2 and I had to start all over again.

Hey there @Robo4u

Welcome to the Community.

We wanted to check in to see if you were able to complete your activation. You can rest assured that even if your phone is prompted to run on IMEI2, it will still connect properly to the network.

Keep us posted.

Hi there

I upgraded my phone today and I can’t seem to activate my lucky esim.  It says the phone isn’t compatible.

Is there an estimate on when the iPhone 14 Pro will be allowed to use lucky esim?

Or any other steps I can take to attempt to troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks!

Hi there

As everybody here I can’t activate my esim.

I tried all the methods (QR code, activation online, etc.) but nothing works.

It’s been 2 months I tried to activate it and I am very fed up with this. Everything worked before and my Esim was fine during 2 years. But now it doesn’t.

what is very upsetting is that we can have someone who can fix the issue on the phone. You send us to many different people and nobody is able to answer and fix the problem. This is upsetting.
we really want to change of operator if you don’t find a solution (and the issue is not new)

Hi there @Karpok.

For the Community to be better able to assist, we'll need some further details:

  • Were you attempting to switch from a physical SIM to an eSIM? If so, refer to our accepted solution on this thread for the link that'll provide you further instructions. Once on the page, scroll to the bottom and select your device manufacturer to expand the details.
  • If not, are you receiving an error message of any kind when the activation methods don't work?
  • When you're calling in, what are the agents telling you?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Yes. I was able to complete the activation. However, there are still lots of forum posts on your clients difficulty to activate their eSIM. You still need to improve your activation software and instructions.

@Robo4u , Can you please provide the steps in activating your eSim here, so that others can follow and make it working..Thanks!

I follow the steps provided in FAQ and on the last page, when I tried to transfer the existing number to eSim, it failed.

Not sure if there is something wrong with the activation.

I am having trouble activating my Lucky Mobile number to an eSim and I got an email from support with instructions to login to myBell account to activate eSim on bell network.

Do I need a Bell registration to activate Lucky Mobile number to transfer from physical sim to eSim?

Been there, done that (2 years ago) when I brought my iPhone to Apple store and they wiped it without notice. I also spend 8 hours with Apple customer support to restore the eSIM from a backup. That was impossible.
After wasting my time so many hours (~20 hours) between hotline, stores and Apple. I've registered a new line, transferred my number to the new line and cancelled the old one. I lost $25 and asked Apple to refund (which they did).
Today, I've changed my phone to new one. iOS refuses to transfer the eSIM. "Not supported by the operator".
Called technical support, they said they are not able to do it. They don't know how to help me. I went to 3 different stores, they don't even know what an eSIM is about! 😞
Obviously, changing the IMEI in Lucky profile and scanning the QR code (or entering manually) does not help at all.
I'm supposed to be called back by technical support level 2. Not sure they will help.

Well it’s been 2 months since I got this phone and no one has responded to help me with this issue (other than to tell me to search the forums - which I did and found no answer to my issue - and to close my other thread.)

I guess I’ll just find another esim carrier lol

Hi

I have a lucky mobile physical SIM and I want to change it to the e-SIM.

I tried to activate it online from my lucky mobile account but once I click the "activate" it brought me back to the home page.

how can I change my current physical SIM to e-SIM.

thanks

I have exactly the same issue and went through the same but still could not change to e-sim
