Text to Russia Not Working

Hi there,

One of the reasons I switched from Bell to Lucky Mobile is because Lucky Mobile had plans with unlimited free worldwide text messages (SMS). I have a $25/month plan with 1GB of data and unlimited worldwide texts.

When I was with Bell, I could successfully send a text message to a Russian mobile number (+7 921 .....). Considering that Lucky Mobile uses Bell's network and is Bell's subsidiary, I did not expect any issues. However, right away all the texts that I sent to a Russian number after switching to Lucky Mobile were not delivered, although a week prior, while I was with Bell, all text messages arrived to the Russian recipient.

I had contacted Lucky Mobile customer service, and they could not help at all. So, I did a few tests myself. I sent texts (sms) to my contacts in USA, Germany and Russia. All contacts in USA and Germany received my texts, but the recipient in Russia did not receive any texts from me. However, the Russian phone successfully received all texts from the German phone number. So, you see - there is something wrong with the way Lucky Mobile sends international texts to some countries - specifically Russia.

A few months ago someone else posted here that their texts were not received in Israel:

Could the admins please forward my complaint to the tech support? Lucky Mobile needs to solve this.

Just wanted to let the community know that Lucky Mobile team has fixed the issue of sms not being received by a contact in Russia.

Last night I sent an SMS to the Russian number, and it was delivered. Perfect!
